"My wife (!) and I got married at the end of August and we had our wedding reception at 36 Main. The service was outstanding starting when Kathy, the owner, sat down with us and brainstormed the menu, decor, and band placement. She put us at ease by paying attention to every detail and exuding calm. We talked concepts, ie: local food, types of dishes, main courses, and vibe, and she did the rest. She nailed it. The food was top notch and more importantly Kathy understood us and the feel we wanted. (This sounds like 'just another glowing review', but seriously the food was REALLY good. Our friends are still talking about the Fillet.) Kathy and the wait staff ended up joining in the festivities. At one point I saw the bartender boogieing down while serving drinks. We are not the type of people who were all gushy about weddings, we are a bit older, and maybe a little cynical, but it ended up being just wonderful. The folks at 36 Main, most notably Kathy and the chef, created an atmosphere where we got to have a blast with friends and family, melting, perhaps briefly, any cynicism we might have had.
